Sinclair Dermatology is Victoria's largest private dermatology practice, offering a general skin and hair dermatology clinic, dermal laser treatments, a hair salon, and a dedicated research and clinical trials centre (DIRECT). With 14 specialist dermatologists and 7 fellow dermatologists, the practice operates multiple clinics, with the main venue in East Melbourne and additional sites at Pascoe Vale South and Parkville.
Description
We are seeking a full‑time experienced Dermatology Fellow to join our busy clinic. The role involves comprehensive patient care, support for clinical trials and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Consult a variety of adult and paediatric patients – up to 10 sessions per week.
* Review referrals, take histories, examine, diagnose, treat, refer and prescribe – and maintain detailed clinical records.
* Perform non‑invasive biopsies or excision procedures.
* Educate patients about skin health and skincare practices.
* Collaborate with nurses, reception, patient coordinators and practice managers to ensure smooth clinic operation.
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and an empathetic demeanour.
* Be patient‑focused and willing to supervise and mentor junior colleagues.
* Refer patients to relevant clinical trials where appropriate.
Remuneration
Competitive package up to $120,000 per annum plus superannuation based on experience, with full employment benefits and entitlements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Sub‑specialty experience in hair disorders such as androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, CCA, FDS, DLE, and up‑to‑date treatments including PRP and medication regimes.
* Experience in treating skin disorders and skin cancer.
Additional Requirements
* Immediately available to start.
* Willingness to travel between our clinic locations.
