Job Title: Fire Protection Services Engineer/Designer
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fire Protection Services Engineer/Designer to design and implement fire protection systems that ensure the safety and compliance of buildings across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop comprehensive fire protection designs, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, smoke control systems, and emergency lighting, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian standards and codes.
* Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare detailed system layouts using industry-standard software such as Revit.
* Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate fire protection systems seamlessly into building designs and construction processes.
* Conduct site visits to assess existing systems, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements to meet safety standards.
* Prepare clear and concise technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and compliance certificates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fire protection design and engineering.
* Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and standards (e.g., AS 2118, AS 1670), and proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
* Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and develop system layouts.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
