A values-driven, not-for-profit aged care organisation based in Melbourne’s south-east is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support its growing Support at Home and aged care services. This is a hands-on role ideal for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys variety, thrives in change, and is comfortable stepping in wherever needed. Experience in home care / community aged care is highly desirable, with residential exposure considered a bonus rather than essential. The Opportunity Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and compliance across government-funded aged care programs. You’ll partner closely with operational leaders to provide meaningful insights, strengthen financial capability, and support decision-making across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and ongoing financial performance monitoring Prepare and review monthly journals and manage month-end close processes Compile monthly management reports with clear analysis and commentary Partner with operational and program managers to deliver value-driven reporting Prepare balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations Cash flow forecasting and financial analysis Contribute to Quarterly Financial Reports (QFR) and Aged Care Financial Reports (ACFR) Manage BAS preparation and submission Support government funding, grant and ad hoc compliance reporting Compile data for sector benchmarking and audit readiness About You You are a flexible, solutions-focused accountant who enjoys working closely with non-finance stakeholders and can comfortably balance operational detail with higher-level analysis.
