What you'll be doing
ED and Inpatient Administration Manager is responsible to lead and manage administrative operations and oversee staff allocation across various wards/departments. This role ensures the efficient functioning of services related to emergency department (ED) administration and inpatient data. The manager also supervises reception and postal services within the facility. As the Facility Operational Lead, they play a key role in maintaining smooth and effective administrative support for inpatient care.
As a district-wide leadership role within Corporate Services, the position oversees inpatient and ED administration services across multiple facilities, ensuring efficient, consistent, and patient-focused service delivery. The role works in close partnership with clinical, operational, and corporate services teams to ensure inpatient and ED administration processes enable timely, safe, and effective patient care. Additionally, the position contributes to strategic planning, policy development, and corporate reporting at the District level.

Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated high level management skills with the capacity to lead and empower staff to achieve service outcomes.
* Understanding of inpatient and/or Emergency Department administrative needs with a demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate administrative policies, procedures, and operational plans to improve service delivery outcomes.
* Experience in managing budgets and staffing resources.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships, consult with a diverse range of stakeholders, and influence outcomes.
* Proven high level of computer literacy, including the use of hospital programs, spreadsheets, database and word processing software.
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities and deliver results within tight timeframes in a dynamic healthcare environment.
* Works effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment.
* Ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities from a range of stakeholders.
