About the role
The Project and Business Support Advisor provides expert advisory and business support to the Director and Leadership Team of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Branch. The role delivers administration support, drives continuous improvement across HSW processes, and prioritises key initiatives aligned with the DTP Strategic Plan 2025–29. As part of the HSW Leadership Team, the position leads or coordinates projects, manages contracts, and supports financial, procurement, and medical/health service arrangements. The role works across the Branch and Department to enhance business processes, including project delivery, system and asset performance, and safety and risk management.
Responsibilities include delivering procurement, governance, compliance, audit, and customer-focused support, establishing and monitoring financial processes, analysing data to inform decision-making, and implementing performance reporting. The role also provides executive administrative support to the Director, manages scheduling, correspondence, and events, and interprets complex data to improve business performance. It integrates relevant technologies and promotes best practices across the team.

Qualification and Experience
Mandatory
* Demonstrated experience in business management activities such as finance and budgets, procurement, performance reporting, contract management, data insights and analysis and continuous improvement.
* Demonstrated experience with calendar management and using all Office365 applications.
Desirable
* Experience in health, safety and wellbeing or people-centered programs / projects.
* Tertiary qualification in project management or significant relevant experience.
* Experience using Oracle or similar financial systems.
