The successful applicants will be given the opportunity to expand their current skillset while working towards and completing their Traineeship.
About the role
As a trainee you will work alongside experienced Teachers and Educators, learning on the job and earning while you learn. You will attend class one day a week to complete your qualification while also working at a day care service. In this role you will support children aged 3–6 years, develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues and the centre community, and assist educators in observing and documenting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities
- Ensure programs reflect best practice for access, inclusion, safety and environmental aspects of life
- Accept guidance from others and work well as part of a team
- Assist with maintaining records and provide relevant information for the children's program
- Promote and provide healthy food and drinks
- Use information about children to inform best practice
- Be aware of the impact of environment and energy sustainability and assist with recycling and resource consideration within the centre
- Ensure confidentiality is always maintained
- Promote innovation in a team environment
- Assist and participate in the planning, preparation, implementation and clearance of activities
- Develop positive and respectful relationships with children
Requirements
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Drivers licence (not essential)
- Previous experience with young children is an advantage
- Commitment and ability to participate and complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education while working
- Work well with others and demonstrate appropriate behaviour and cooperation within a small team
