The HSEQ Engineer will support the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Manager in the development, implementation and improvement of the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) as well as ensuring the compliance with all quality, health and safety and environment standards, company's policies and procedures and relevant legislation in the assigned project.They will have the following responsibilities:Quality (QA) responsibilities for assigned projects and O&M services:• Organising, implementing and conducting QA activities as per SICE's Quality Policy.• Reviewing plans, design documents, to ensure the quality throughout the documents as per SICE's quality standards.• Designing, updating and maintaining plans, procedures and processes to ensure QA has been done and amendments have been addressed within the team.• Preparing audits to ensure compliance with internal control procedures by examining reports and documentation.• Running an effective NCR process, investigating and resolving non-conformances• Running an effective Risk management process, investigating hazards and issuing mitigation actions• Liaising with the client's representatives to conduct quality-related project and/or O&M activities.WHS and Environment & sustainability (HSE) responsibilities:• Monitoring and assessing health and safety strategies following legislative and standards changes.• Working closely with the HSEQ Manager in preparing HSE plans, procedures, and, registers, forms, templates that reflect the improvement of the system.• Preparing office inspections to ensure workplace conditions comply with laws and regulations and reporting all known or observed hazards to the HSEQ team.• Preparing, or contributing to, the monthly Lost time injury frequency rates (LTIFR) report, which includes, type of incidents, consequences, severity and, locations; providing an analysis of these to the HSEQ Manager, identifying emerging risks and incident investigation (when applicable) in the workplace.• Preparing, or contributing to, the monthly WHS register, which includes waste management, drills, office inspections, test and tag equipment; providing solutions to the HSEQ Manager when deviations presented.• Observing, assessing, and reporting on the safety performance of a workplace, and assisting with developing procedures that meet safety guidelines.• Assessing HSE risks.• May provide or organise training to other employees on HSE plans and procedures and appropriate site inductions when required.• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar• At least 3 years of experience in Quality-related roles, preferably within the IT or software industries• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Health and Safety and Environment roles is desirable• Previous experience conducting internal product and process auditsEssential Competencies• Strong understanding of the requirements for the certification under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards• Knowledge of applicable OHS&E principles and regulations• Advanced level of SharePoint, MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)• Document control• Safety management• Risk management• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently in an efficient manner• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal• Attention to detail• Strong time management, organisation and administrative skills• Automation tools knowledge is highly desirableBe part of large scale infrastructure projects.A collaborative, supportive and diverse work environment where everyone has the chance to make a difference.Enjoy a range of benefits including up to 3 additional days of leave per year, access to a learning platform for personal and professional growth, novated leasing, coaching and wellbeing support through our EAP, and much more!SICE ANZ is an Equal Opportunity Employer, inviting you to join an organisation dedicated to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.
