Overview
The Neurological Council of WA manages the Centre of Neurological Support at The Niche Lotteries House, QEII Medical Centre, accommodating 11 not-for-profits that support clients with a range of neurological conditions. Our reception staff and volunteers play an important role in making everyone in the centre feel welcome and supported. Ways you can help will depend on your skills, abilities and interest with entry level tasks including:
Responsibilities
* Acting as the first point of contact including welcoming, helping and directing visitors.
* Reception and administration for our Headache & Migraine Clinic
* Assisting with general administration and data entry.
* Receiving and distributing mail and deliveries and ordering couriers.
* Assisting with meeting and seminar room bookings.
* Assisting with support group and event preparation activities including assisting with event coordination, set-up, pack-up and collating event materials for marketing packs.
* Maintaining and updating directories and contact lists.
* Coordinating car park access, bookings and transport (eg calling QEII Buggy or taxis).
* Referring maintenance requests to building management.
* Maintaining a tidy presentation of reception and other common areas.
* Providing ad hoc assistance to tenants including copying, data entry, telephone confirmations/follow ups.
* Taking an active role in ensuring a safe workplace is maintained.

Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months
Time Required: 1 or 2 days/week (ideally 9.30am to 3pm) or negotiable. Looking for people who are passionate to our cause and have time to commit for 6 months or more.
Training: Induction and ongoing on the job support
