Permanent Full Time prospect available (4 on 4 off). This role is based at the Stuart Landfill site and supports the Waste Disposal Team of Resource Recovery, operating Plant at landfills and may supervise the transfer station, manage litter, maintain signage, operate pumping systems, assist the leading hand to ensure site tasks are completed, and other duties as required.
About the Role
Working in landfill operations, this role will assist with the timely and efficient support service to the Waste Disposal Team of Resource Recovery. Operating Plant at the landfills and may be required to perform other tasks such as supervision of the transfer station, litter management, maintenance of the signage, maintenance of the hazardous waste collection sheds, maintaining pumping systems, supervision of the public at tipping faces, and assisting the leading hand to ensure all tasks on the site are completed. This role will work from our Stuart Landfill site.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
Mandatory
- Current "HR" class driver's licence.
- Front End Loader Ticket (LL).
- Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD)
Highly Desirable
- Compactor Ticket (LR)
- Excavator Ticket (LE)
- Dozer Ticket (LZ)
- Grader Ticket (LG)
Desirable
- Demonstrated experience in the waste management/disposal industry
- A demonstrated ability to effectively operate machinery associated with waste
- Ability to use GPS based machinery guidance and topography mapping services for landfill
