A well-established family office is appointing a Family Office Lead to build and oversee its financial and operational functions in New South Wales for its Australian-based businesses. You will report to the Head of the Family Office based overseas to ensure seamless oversight of the family's affairs in Australia. This senior role requires strong financial expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Manage cash flow and liquidity
* Liaise with the Family Head Office for integrated operations
* Communicate financial updates to family members
* Support day-to-day administration of personal matters
* Act as the main point of contact for financial and operational issues
Requirements
* Proven Family Office experience or small business background reporting to an owner
* Degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting
* CA or CPA qualified
* Minimum 5 years experience in finance/operations (family office or wealth management preferred)
* Strong month-end accounting expertise
* Experience with GST, FBT, and payroll tax
* Agriculture or real estate background advantageous
* Proficient in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Xero
* Strong knowledge of tax compliance and financial reporting for companies and trusts
* Excellent communication and analytical skills
* High level of confidentiality and discretion
