Casual Position (may be up to Full Time hours of 38 hours per week)

Peak Enrolment Period Coverage (proposed until March 2026)

Based at Yallourn campus (travel may be required during work hours, to support across other campuses)

$37.72 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) + Super

About the role

TAFE Gippsland is seeking casual team support to assist our Student Operations team during our peak enrolment period. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the success of our future learners.

As a Casual Customer Service Officer, you will play a key role in supporting prospective and current students throughout their educational journey. Acting as the first point of contact, you will assist with general enquiries, provide course advice, and guide students through the enrolment process from start to finish.

You’ll also be our team behind the scenes, ensuring enrolment documentation is complete, and the student records are up to date and compliant. You will consistently represent TAFE Gippsland professionally in all verbal and written communications, delivering exemplary customer service aligned to the Institute’s values.

What you’ll bring

- Proven experience in customer service or call centre environments.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a student-first mindset.
- Willingness to travel between campuses, during set work hours, as needed.

Mandatory requirements

- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
- Current Driver’s License (some travel between campuses is a requirement of the role)
