Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our service, you will play a vital role in the planning and provision of a responsive, client- and family-centred service.

In this hands-on role, you will use your knowledge and experience supporting people with physical and intellectual disabilities to promote independence, community participation and meaningful relationships in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support clients by interpreting and responding to their communication needs, health care plans, and mealtime guidelines.
* Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate records.
* Document observations and contribute to care planning with a client-centred approach.
* Promote independence and community participation, and support meaningful relationships in a safe environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Current NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check.
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services (or willingness to complete/enrol).
* Child Safe Environments training (Through Your Eyes).
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module: Quality, Safety and You.
* Competency-based training in Assist Clients with Medication (HLTHPS006 or equivalent obtained within the last 6 months).
* Competency-based Manual Handling training (HLTWHS005 or equivalent obtained within the last 6 months).
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate (including CPR).
* A current valid Driver's Licence.
