This is a unique opportunity for an Associate (2–5 years' post-admission experience) to join our intellectual property and commercial team in Brisbane, working directly with our general commercial and IP partners alongside our Tier 1 M&A team.
You'll advise on a vast array of commercial and IP matters for an exceptional client base, including private equity funds, nationally and internationally recognised corporates, and founder-led businesses.
You'll gain exposure to a wide range of matters, including:
* Advising on all manner of commercial matters, including joint ventures, collaboration arrangements, supply, manufacturing and distribution arrangements, legal compliance and consumer law matters.
* Advising on IP strategy, protection and commercialisation, including working with specialist trade mark lawyers on registrations, oppositions and disputes.
* Drafting and negotiating IP and IT Agreements, including SaaS agreement, reseller agreements and implementation agreements.
* Supporting strategic corporate transactions, including working closely with leading M&A partners and clients across multiple industries.
* Advising on privacy law compliance and data breaches.
* Advising on compliance with regulatory regimes for specific industries.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in any of general commercial, IP, IT, privacy and/or trade marks with strong academic credentials who thrives in a team environment, demonstrates curiosity and an ability to problem solve, and shows a genuine willingness to learn and grow.
