Senior Research Analyst
The National Security TAFE Centre of Excellence builds knowledge, skills, and processes to develop Australia's sovereign capability and ensure its capacity to build sovereign manufacturing, digital and technology capabilities, and enhance and protect Australia's national security.
The Senior Research Analyst is responsible for leading research activities within the Centre of Excellence, providing governance for research methods and reports, conducting research, analysing and reporting on emerging industries, future workforce and job role needs. This role is specific to the Centre of Excellence project being undertaken for National Security and defence industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Inform research and evaluation project designs, methods, and reports.
* Liaise and negotiate with internal Business Unit staff and external stakeholders on a range of matters including research, recommendations, and findings.
* Provide expert advice to the Centre of Excellence relating to emerging industries, future workforce, and job role vocational training needs.
* Provide expert advice and analysis utilising a range of sources including but not limited to Federal and State Government, university and Cooperative Research Centres, industry associations, and Service Skills organisations.
* Prepare and contribute to timely and well-researched publications, briefings, reports, and notes on complex issues.
What We're Looking For
* A sound understanding of applied research, including research systems and methodologies.
* High level research and analytical skills to undertake complex problem solving and planning.
* High level skills in the provision of data and information and the ability to analyse, evaluation and provide recommendations to senior level managers.
* Demonstrated experience developing and delivering on projects, working in a complex environment, moving from detail to larger, strategic issues.
What You Need to Know
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
