The Engagement Practitioner will work with vulnerable families seeking help for their interrelated legal, health and family issues.
This position is part of a Health Justice Partnership (HJP) that requires collaboration with legal teams and partner service providers.
The successful candidate will:
* Identify opportunities to connect with families affected by interrelated issues
* Provide early intervention engagement opportunities
* Support clients to engage with a lawyer when needed
* Navigate complex issues and refer to external support as required
* Contribute to operations and implementation plans aligned with research-informed frameworks
* Achieve funding targets and requirements
* Establish connections with stakeholders supporting partnership activities and BGCLS services
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in supporting individuals and families affected by family violence
* Ability to design service delivery within project guidelines and funding requirements
* Innovative thinking and best practice mindset
* Cultural awareness and effective communication skills
* Collaboration skills to achieve desired outcomes
Tertiary qualifications in relevant disciplines such as Social Work, Allied Health or Human Services are essential.
A Victorian Driver's Licence, cleared National Police Record Check, right to work in Australia and valid Working with Children Check are also necessary.
