Exciting Opportunity for a School Manager (School of Rural health)
Location: Dubbo.
Full-time until 31 December (possibility of extension subject to funding approvals).
Base Salary $146,197 - $154,260 + 17% superannuation.
About the School
The School of Rural Health (Dubbo / Orange) is a rural clinical school of the Sydney Medical School with locations in both Dubbo and Orange.
We contribute to the development of the rural medical workforce by providing training in an environment that delivers medical graduates and doctors with the aptitude, knowledge, and skills to provide quality care for rural, regional, and remote Australia.
Our teaching, clinical and accommodation facilities are available in both Dubbo and Orange for students undertaking their study with us.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operational activities and academic endeavours of the school.
Coordinate closely with school leadership to achieve specific objectives and goals.
Serve as a key advisor and leader in the development and implementation of the school's strategy and related business plans.
Provide guidance on achieving objectives in alignment with the overarching University strategy and Commonwealth funded schemes.
Manage and implement external engagement strategies, fostering relationships with professional bodies and alumni within the school.
Oversee the implementation of work area budgets, monitor spending to ensure alignment with financial projections, and contribute to periodic budget review.
Offer effective leadership, guidance, and advice to staff in the work area to ensure proactive achievement of outcomes.
About You
Interact with others clearly and effectively, using respectful verbal and non-verbal communication for the benefit of students, staff, and the communities we serve.
Make informed and considered decisions by thinking critically and comprehensively to progress and enhance outcomes for the University.
Actively manage opportunities, potential risks, and uncertainties to achieve the strategic objectives of the University.
Develop, sustain, and strengthen internal and external relationships for the betterment of the University.
Anticipate and monitor demand, and develop considered responses to continually improve student, staff, and community outcomes.
Apply critical thinking and decision-making methods.
Work Rights

Pre-Employment Checks
Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all required pre-employment or background checks to the satisfaction of the University.
Ongoing employment also requires maintaining all relevant clearances and background check requirements.
If these conditions are not met, the University may take any necessary step, including termination of employment.
As this position is located on an NSW Health site, a regulatory requirement to complete compulsory employment checks prior to starting is enforced.
