Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing planning and development information through Council's Duty Planner service.
* Preparing assessment reports and determinations on development applications and subdivision certificates.
* Undertaking site inspections and preparing supporting documentation.
* Coordinating internal and external stakeholder feedback on development matters.
* Responding to enquiries at the customer service counter, via email, and by phone.
* Meeting statutory and Council timeframes and contributing to the delivery of efficient development services.
About You
The company is looking for:
* Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or nearing completion).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Understanding of relevant Acts, statutory planning processes, and customer service delivery.
* Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
* Class C Driver's Licence.
Desirable: Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and prior experience in local government or development assessment.

* Starting salary of $71,819 (Grade D, Step 1) plus 12% superannuation.
