About the Role
This role provides operational and strategic expertise to the business on all people-related matters, reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services. You will work closely with the management team and focus on delivering the culture strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage, coach, and lead the People and Culture team members who provide people-related advice and support, monitor wellbeing, attract and onboard talent, and input and manage data in employment-related systems.
* Coach and guide leaders in best practice handling of employee development, case management, grievance resolution, retention, career progression, leadership development, and communication.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation.
* Oversee all people policies and procedures and make recommendations as appropriate to align with best practice.
* Deliver and oversee all elements of the employee lifecycle.
* Deliver the culture strategy for the organisation with initiatives to build a high-performing culture, improve the employee experience, and staff engagement strategies.
* Review, recommend, and implement HR systems.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a People and Culture Manager role with strategic and operational responsibility.
* Strong ER capability including interpreting Awards and other employment instruments and ensuring compliance with workplace legislation.
* High-level critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies to successful outcomes.
* Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
* Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origin.
