About the role
Adelaide Hills Education Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher/Tutor to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with upper primary and lower secondary school students in the Adelaide Hills, supporting them with their English skills.
What you'll be doing
* Providing a high level of academic teaching to assist students in improving their English skills and confidence
* Developing personalised learning plans to cater to each student's individual needs and learning style
* Delivering individualised programmes in small group English tutoring sessions to school students, Years 6-9.
* Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods as needed
* Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning
* Maintaining accurate records and providing progress reports to Parents on student progress
What we're looking for
* Relevant teaching experience in teaching written language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling
* A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is required
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues
* Show initiative and flexibility, work co-operatively
* Adaptability and creativity in tailoring your teaching approach to individual student needs
* Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
* Relevant teaching qualifications and Working With Children Check
