Production Technician
MicroTau is putting 'shark skin' on planes to save fuel and reduce emissions
Your MissionMicroTau's mission is to improve the efficiency of the global aviation fleet, saving billions in fuel and megatonnes of CO2 every year. We need a Production Technician to make MicroTau film that will go on aircraft around the world, support the improvement of the production line and fulfill custom engineering orders for our next generation riblet packages. You will report to The Manufacturing Operations Team Lead. This role is full time onsite, and will in the first instance assume the hours of 9am-5pm, however shifts may be introduced
What You Will DoCollect traceability data and ensure documentation is compliant with quality management system requirements, so we keep track of what our product is made of Perform a wide range of processes, conforming with instructions and MicroTau’s Quality Management System, and ensuring that acceptance criteria are met so that our customers receive consistent, conforming productPerforming custom engineering builds for research, product or manufacturing systems development Provide evidence based and objective feedback to engineers for process improvements Ensure that non-conforming products are rapidly contained from the production line, write problem statements that are evidence based and objective in nature, and contribute to non-conformity and problem solving investigationsIdentify the impact of and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principlesAttend daily production meetings/standups and shifts as per allocation
About YouIndustry experience in advanced hardware manufacturing environments, preferably in a highly regulated environment e.g. medical, aviation and at a start up or scale up phaseExperience in clean room production environments Experience contributing and partaking in internal and external quality management system audits Is reliable, attentive to detail and can follow complex work instructions methodically
