Plant Mechanical Trainer & Assessor
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Mechanical Trainer & Assessor to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled plant mechanic who is passionate about developing others and contributing to workforce capability.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and conducting competency-based assessments for apprentices and trainees in plant mechanical operations. You will play a key role in ensuring learners develop the technical skills and knowledge required to succeed in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver training in plant mechanical maintenance and repair
* Assess learner competency in line with industry standards and training packages
* Develop and maintain training materials and resources
* Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to apprentices and trainees
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and quality frameworks
* Maintain accurate training and assessment records
* Liaise with employers, supervisors, and stakeholders
About You
* Trade qualified Plant Mechanic (or equivalent)
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
* Strong industry experience with heavy mobile equipment (e.g., earthmoving, mining, or construction machinery)
* Previous training or mentoring experience (desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Current driver's licence
