Overview
Senior Field Service Technician to support Underground mining customers in New South Wales. Role involves testing, repair, installation and commissioning of Ampcontrol manufactured equipment and systems on sites (Longwall systems, Development Power systems, Conveyor signal line and communication systems, Gas monitoring equipment and HV electrical equipment). You will train and support technicians within the team.
Responsibilities
* Installation and commissioning of electrical equipment underground
* Underground onsite electrical auditing, testing, breakdown assistance, commissioning and installation of the above-mentioned systems
* Provide face-to-face support to clients
* Work individually and in small teams across a wide range of mine sites
* Provide timely and quality service-related reports following site work

About You / Qualifications
* Electrical trade qualifications
* Hazardous Area Competencies (essential)
* HV Switching certificate (essential)
* Signed off work alone at underground coal mines (essential)
* Experience with HV electrical equipment and systems specific to mining and utilities (including diagnosis and fault finding)
* Experience / understanding of Ampcontrol products
* Experience with Underground Coal Longwall, Development and Outbye Systems (Ampcontrol controlled systems will be a requirement)
* Competency in injection testing protection relays (desirable)
* Understanding of explosion protection techniques
* Understanding of AS3800, AS5368, AS2290 (essential)
* Good report writing skills (essential)
* Current Order 43 Medical (desirable)
* Task-focused, decisive, and able to work autonomously
* Comfortable with travel and being away from home
Location & Logistics
This is a full-time role based in Tomago NSW. This is not a FIFO role.
