Project Delivery Manager Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Australian ground-improvement and geotechnical specialist. The company delivers advanced services in permeation grouting, slope stabilisation, and geotechnical investigation drilling across civil, mining, dam, and infrastructure projects.
The Project Delivery Manager will be responsible for the overall delivery of geotechnical and ground-improvement projects in the Townsville / North Queensland region. This role requires coordination with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and budget, to the quality standards expected by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, oversee, and drive delivery of multiple ground-improvement/geotechnical projects in the Townsville/North Queensland region.
2. Develop and manage project delivery plans, including schedule, resourcing, budgets, risk assessment/mitigation, logistics, equipment & materials, subcontractors.
3. Coordinate with on-site crews: geologists, drillers, rope-access technicians, engineers – ensuring roles, responsibilities, and tasks are clearly defined and executed.
4. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environment (HSE) and compliance requirements, especially given often remote or difficult-access sites.
5. Interface with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and relevant authorities: manage expectations, reporting, contract deliverables, change management.
6. Monitor project progress, quality, costs – prepare and present regular status reports, forecasts, and post-project reviews/lessons learned.
7. Manage mobilisation and demobilisation logistics for remote or hard-to-access terrains (equipment, transport, workforce, site setup).
