Corporate Property Specialist - job postThe Senior Property Officer and Corporate Property Specialist roles involve providing high-level policy, legislative and management advice relating to protected area acquisition, asset acquisitions and disposals, and managing a diverse property portfolio.
This role focuses on lease and property management, maintaining accurate records, and identifying opportunities for improvement across property systems and processes to drive value, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
You will work as a strategic thinker and detail-oriented professional who collaborates across the business to ensure smooth operations and compliance with legislative and WHS requirements.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update property records, systems (Property Management System, SharePoint), and ensure the accuracy of lease and rental data.Manage rental payments including arrears, overpayments, rent increases, and property-related invoice processing via SAP.Liaise with internal stakeholders (State Finance, Area/Branch Managers) and third-party managers to support leases, renewals, maintenance, and repairs.Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual FBT reporting processes related to property, staff housing, and car parking.Negotiate and prepare new lease agreements, renewals, and special conditions with lessors, tenants, and solicitors.Provide strategic property advice to management on acquisition, divestment, and lease negotiations while ensuring compliance with WHS and corporate policy.Who are we looking forYou have experience in commercial/residential real estate, with a strong grasp of lease interpretation and property legislation.You're a skilled communicator and negotiator, able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.You bring a strategic and analytical mindset, with a proven ability to solve problems and identify improvement opportunities.You have strong attention to detail, and a track record of maintaining accurate, compliant documentation and systems.You are proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems, with experience in SAP considered a plus.You hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Real Estate, Business, Finance) and a valid driver's licence.About EldersElders is proud to be the last Australian-listed major agribusiness.
