The Student Growth & Engagement Division, within the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Growth and Global) portfolio, plays a central role in advancing the University of Wollongong's commitment to widening participation, strengthening educational aspiration, and supporting pathways into higher education. Through this work, the Division contributes to UOW's mission to deliver meaningful benefit to the diverse communities it serves.
The Events & Program Manager is responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of a comprehensive portfolio of student focused events and activities designed to engage high school students—particularly those from under represented backgrounds—and support their awareness of post school opportunities. The role leads the conceptualisation, project management and execution of discipline aligned programs that connect with curriculum, foster aspiration and encourage informed decision making about future study. Working closely with Faculties, schools, teachers, parents/guardians, industry partners and internal stakeholders, the position ensures the safe, effective and high quality delivery of events, manages staff and budgets, evaluates program impact, and contributes to strategic planning to enhance UOW's outreach and engagement offerings.
