The Opportunity
The Bunbury Geographe Economic Alliance (BGEA) is a leading advocate for sustainable economic development in our region. BGEA comprises members from a broad range of industries, Local Governments and tertiary education and works in partnership to promote and strengthen economic development in the Region.
The role is based in Bunbury, but covering the greater region, and offers a diverse and exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in the future of the Region and who enjoys interacting with a range of stakeholders.
The role provides the background support for the CEO, whilst also providing the organisation with support on strategic projects, special events, and assisting to maintain positive business and Industry partnerships and profile.
Currently a part time role at 16hrs a week with flexible working arrangements.
The Responsibility
Executive Administration - Providing support to the CEO in the form of scheduling and arranging meetings, managing office facilities and equipment, managing memberships, oversight of contracts and sponsorship agreements.
Corporate Governance- including preparation of Board agendas, minutes and other documentation.
Events and Marketing - Assist and coordinate event management, marketing activities including a range of social media, planning and organisation of functions and member activities.
Document Design and Compilation - Research and compile reports and articles for meeting preparation, presentations, industry reports and web site.
Accounts Management – basicaccount management tasks through online software (Xero), banking, budgeting and compilation of accounts data.
The Expertise
You may not have direct experience in this type of role, but a positive and outgoing attitude will be highly regarded.
You will require excellent written and oral communication skills, organisational skills and offer a high level of professionalism.
Experience in book-keeping and accounts management is desirable but not essential
Skills in design and report compilation are also desirable.
