Are you a qualified accountant who enjoys autonomy, variety, and the satisfaction of running the full finance function?
We're looking for a skilled IPA, CA or CPA-qualified Accountant to take complete ownership of our accounts — from bookkeeping and payroll through to budgets, forecasts, and detailed financial analysis.
You'll be joining a small but rapidly growing licensed real estate agency in the short-term rental industry, with multiple offices across New South Wales and a friendly team based in Epping — just a 2-minute walk from Epping Station.
This is a hands-on, flexible role working directly with the CEO.
What You'll Do
Manage daily and weekly bookkeeping using MYOB
Process weekly payments and staff payroll (ensuring payroll law compliance)
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and detailed financial reports
Create and maintain financial dashboards in Google Sheets and MYOB
Analyse business spending and identify cost efficiencies and savings
Review and optimise the chart of accounts and reporting structure
Correct misallocations and streamline accounting rules for accuracy
Perform forensic-level analysis to ensure every cent is tracked
Benchmark supplier and software costs and provide recommendations
Oversee month-end processing to ensure timely and accurate reporting
What You'll Bring
Fully qualified accountant – IPA, CA, or CPA
3+ years' experience in an SME or hands-on accounting environment
Strong MYOB proficiency and advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
Advanced MYOB configuration skills including chart of accounts setup, reporting customisation, and system optimisation
Excellent understanding of payroll, compliance, and accounting standards
Knowledge of trust accounting is advantageous
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Confident, proactive, and able to take full ownership of the finance function
Australian work rights are required for this position
