About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Sales Officer is responsible for leading all facets of the national sales function to deliver profitable revenue and EBIT growth. This role sets sales strategy, oversees execution across key customer channels, and builds long‑term commercial capability. You will work closely with the executive team and partner cross‑functionally across marketing, category, supply chain and customer service to deliver strong customer and business outcomes.


Duties

* Lead national sales strategy and execution
* Own revenue, margin and EBIT performance
* Oversee key accounts and customer channel strategy
* Lead and develop senior sales leaders and field teams
* Set sales planning, forecasting and budgeting disciplines
* Drive CRM, BI and data‑led decision making
* Partner cross‑functionally to deliver customer outcomes
* Represent the business with key customers and partners


Skills and Experience

* Senior sales leadership experience in growth‑focused businesses
* Background in wholesale, distribution or hardware sectors
* Deep network within Bunnings or general hardware considered a bonus
* Proven success leading national teams and key accounts
* Strong commercial and financial acumen
* Strategic mindset with execution discipline
* High capability with CRM, BI and sales analytics
* Executive‑level influence and autonomy
