Our services are available and open to all with a particular focus on families, young people and children.About the RoleAs an accredited Regional Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you'll provide high quality services to families experiencing separation and needing assistance with parenting arrangements and property agreements.
You'll provide information to clients about separation, counselling and legal processes and make referrals as required.
Your work will be guided by the Family Law Act and our policies to work towards positive outcomes for clients.This program aims to assist separated families prioritising those most disadvantaged or at risk.
The program provides mediation/support and education to separated families.The position is also available for a person with a degree in family law (or a related field of law), psychology, social work AND who is willing to complete the mediation qualification.The Regional Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner sits within our Family and Relationships Services team in Burnie and Devonport.
Key tasks of the role include:Provide family dispute resolution servicesProperty Mediation servicesIntake, information, support and referralCommunity education / group workOngoing program promotion and networkingAbout YouYou will hold tertiary qualifications in law, psychology or social work and be accredited by the Australian Attorney-General's Department (AGD) as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, or eligible for accreditation.
