Cordina Farms Pty Ltd is a recognised leader in the fast-growing 'Value Added' poultry sector, delivering high-quality, ready-to-cook products to major retailers across Australia.
We are proud to announce the launch of our brand-new, state-of-the-art hatchery facility in Somersby, and we're looking for motivated, reliable individuals to join our founding operations team as General Hands.

About the Role
As a General Hand, you will support hatchery operations across various key areas, including:
* Egg receival and preparation
* Egg setting and transfer
* Handling and processing of hatched chicks
* Grading and packing
* General cleaning and sanitisation
* Other manual handling tasks as required
You'll be working closely with team leaders and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and animal welfare.
Location & Setup
* Work Location: Somersby
* Flexibility to work Morning shift is essential
* There will be an initial discussion with the successful candidate regarding the site setup and onboarding process
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* The ability to consistently lift, push, and pull light to heavy objects (5kg–18kg)
* Physically fit with capacity for repetitive lifting
* Ability to work at a fast pace to meet production targets
* A quick learner, confident to rotate across multiple sections of the hatchery
* Committed to maintaining strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene protocols
* Able to understand and follow clear instructions
* A strong commitment to workplace safety – on-the-job training provided
