Sourcing Specialist | Technical Resources
2:1 Roster | 11-Hour Days | 12+ Month Contract
Our client, a major organisation within the mining and resources sector, is seeking an experienced Site Health & Safety Manager to lead HSE operations across a significant brownfields program in the Pilbara.
This long-term contract offers stability, strong site leadership exposure, and the opportunity to influence safety culture across a large and diverse workforce.
This role is ideal for a senior HSE professional with extensive experience in mining and large-scale construction environments, supported by a balanced background across EPCM, contractor, and client-side settings.
About the Role
You will lead all health and safety functions across a large operational site, overseeing a multi-disciplinary HSE team while partnering closely with project leadership, operations, and key internal and external stakeholders.
Your focus will be on driving safety performance, improving systems and processes, and enhancing engagement across the project.
You will manage a team consisting of:
2 x HSE Administrators
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership to the on-site HSE team, guiding capability, development, and performance.
Champion a proactive, high-performance safety culture aligned with WHS legislation and internal standards.
Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
Lead risk assessment processes, inspections, audits, and safety initiatives.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and site-specific procedures.
Deliver accurate HSE reporting, governance, and data insights to leadership teams.
Influence and support operational leaders through practical safety advice and coaching.
Drive continuous improvement across safety systems, behaviours, and risk management practices.
Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in HSE leadership roles across mining or major construction projects.
A blend of EPCM, contractor, and client-side experience (not purely contractor background).
Proven leadership capability managing multi-disciplinary HSE teams.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management frameworks, and investigation methodologies.
Highly developed communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in HSE reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Diploma or Degree in WHS, OHS, or a related discipline.
Construction White Card and current driver's licence.
Why This Role?
12+ month contract with strong extension potential.
Competitive hourly rate and consistent 2:1 FIFO roster.
Leadership role with real influence over site-wide safety culture.
Opportunity to work within a respected, values-driven resources business.
If you are an experienced site-based HSE leader seeking a long-term opportunity with strong team leadership scope, we'd love to hear from you.
