About You
We’re looking for a friendly, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist with strong communication skills. Previous experience in a general practice setting is required. Experience using Best Practice software is highly regarded but not essential.
You’re reliable, organised, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and genuinely enjoy supporting patients and clinical teams.
Role & Responsibilities
This role involves availability between Monday and Friday, 6am to 7pm, depending on clinic needs and your availability.
Key responsibilities include:
* Being the first point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone
* Managing a high volume of calls and patient enquiries professionally and efficiently
* Booking and managing appointments, patient records, invoicing, and Medicare/Health Fund claims
* Providing empathetic, respectful, and culturally sensitive patient support
* Managing online enquiries, correspondence, and daily administrative tasks
* Assisting with daily reconciliations and general practice administration
