Platinum Pacific Partners is seeking to appoint a Head of Strategic Asset Allocation to this established and respected manager. With a significant market footprint and sizeable assets under management, this is a newly created role that essential for the growth of this business and as such, we are looking to for a technically orientated and commercially minded leader to build the function.
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer this role offers a rare opportunity to shape and influence the strategic direction of this fund's multi-asset investment portfolios at the highest level. The position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic asset allocation frameworks that guide long-term portfolio construction across market cycles. You will lead macroeconomic, geopolitical and thematic research to inform investment positioning, drive innovation through advanced scenario modelling and data-driven insights, and work closely with asset class heads to ensure portfolios are cohesive, resilient and appropriately balanced for risk and return.
As a senior people leader, you will build, lead and inspire a high-calibre team of economists, strategists and asset-allocation specialists. You will foster a culture of intellectual rigour, insight and collaboration, while providing coaching, mentorship and contributing to long-term succession planning across the investment function. The role also plays a critical outward-facing and commercial role within the business as well as align strategic allocation decisions with product strategy and client objectives. Risk management and governance are central to this position with all allocation decisions being underpinned by robust risk frameworks, scenario testing and disciplined documentation.
The successful candidate will bring 15+ years' experience in asset allocation, macro strategy or multi-asset portfolio management. Furthermore, a strong understanding of global markets and cycles, proven leadership capability, and ideally CFA, CAIA or postgraduate qualifications in economics or finance.
