Capital Markets Director

About the Role:
This leadership position is ideal for a commercially-minded, results-oriented individual with deal origination and execution experience. As a Capital Markets Director, you will play a key role in originating new business opportunities and executing successful capital raising transactions for clients.

Responsibilities:
* Drive origination and business development initiatives by identifying, sourcing and converting new client opportunities.
* Lead capital raising transactions end-to-end, from pitch to negotiation and close, with support from a broader advisory team.
* Ensure excellence in client delivery, with accountability for quality deliverables, timelines and client outcomes.
* Coach a high-performing team and deliver results through mentoring, on-the-job training and performance management.
* Shape firm strategy and operational performance through input into key decisions and leading special projects.
* Represent the firm amongst the Australian founders and growth equity community; managing and developing relationships with clients, investors and other stakeholders.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced commercial leader:
* Have 8+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity and/or investment management.
* Hold a bachelor's degree in commerce, engineering, or a related discipline.
* Have a proven track record of converting business relationships into potential commercial transactions.
* Have significant experience managing deals end-to-end in a transaction advisory environment.
* Have great people management skills and the ability to mentor junior team members.
* Have experience working in fast-paced, agile founder-led organisations and thrive in a dynamic, fluid environment.
* Is proactive, strategic and creative around business development and brand awareness initiatives.
