About the Role:
* Lead and supervise shutdown maintenance operations for mobile plant and equipment
* Evaluate compliance with OEM specifications and industry best practices
* Coordinate resource allocation to meet shutdown schedules and targets
* Conduct pre-shutdown planning, risk assessments, and post-shutdown reviews to optimize performance
* Foster a high-performance culture by providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for team members
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure seamless execution of shutdowns
* Monitor and report on shutdown progress, addressing issues to minimize downtime and costs
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
* Strong experience leading large work crews in shutdowns within the mining sector
* Proven experience on heavy mobile equipment (e.g. Hitachi/Liebherr Excavators, Caterpillar Dozers and Pit Viper 271 Drills)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of technicians and operators to maintain and repair mobile equipment, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
