Selection Criteria
* SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills, and experience responding to student learning needs.
* SC2: Experience planning and implementing high‐impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn and evaluating their effectiveness on student growth.
* SC3: Experience monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback to students and parents.
* SC4: Interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community to support learning, wellbeing and engagement.
* SC5: Demonstrated behaviours, attitudes and professional learning practices consistent with department values and focused on continual improvement of teaching quality.
Role
Classroom teachers teaching at Rosebud Secondary College work within either Salary Range 1 or Range 2. Both ranges require: planning, preparing and delivering robust curriculum programs; engaging in critical reflection and enquiry; and using assessment data to improve student outcomes.
Range 2 teachers are expected to mentor other teachers, provide expert instructional advice, supervise student teachers, and support staff to use data for teaching decisions.
Range 1 teachers, often newly qualified, receive structured support and mentorship while developing classroom management, subject knowledge and teaching practice, and may also supervise student teachers and contribute to school policy development.
Responsibilities
* Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
* Contribute to curriculum design, implementation and evaluation.
* Complete organisational duties assigned by the Principal.
* Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
* Carry out non‐teaching supervisory duties as required.
Who May Apply
Teachers registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach the specified curriculum area(s).

Qualification Requirements
* Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* Completion of an Australian postgraduate initial teaching program or equivalent, and demonstration of successful completion of a postgraduate level accredited initial teacher education program if completed on or after 1 January 2024.
* Graduation from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education programme after 1 July 2016 must be accompanied by the LANTITE requirement satisfied.
