Deputy Combined Facilities Manager Role
This critical position oversees the maintenance of a hospital's assets to ensure optimal availability, reliability, and compliance with operational requirements and regulatory obligations.
* The role is responsible for ensuring the site's central energy plant and all hospital services (HVAC, water quality, medical gases, medical air, steam quality, medical suction) are maintained through a risk-based preventive maintenance program focused on reliability-centered maintenance.
* Maintenance plans, schedules, and best practice workflow systems and processes must be developed and implemented to ensure the site(s) and assets meet operational requirements and relevant regulatory and legislative obligations.
* Asset management, job planning, and coordination are required for all preventive maintenance, project, and shutdown jobs.
* The monitoring of BMS ensures optimum performance of HVAC across the hospital, and actions are taken on alarms.
* Plant breakdowns and actions from plant checks in MEX are captured, and follow-up corrective action is pursued.
This leadership role requires a suitable trade qualification supported by proven experience in a similar position. You will bring extensive knowledge of building codes and Australian Standards, sound expertise in hospital engineering and building services, and a broad knowledge across multiple trades—such as mechanical, plumbing, steam, air conditioning, refrigeration, carpentry, electrical, and electronic controls—as they relate to hospital equipment and facilities.
