With a contemporary feel, this recently renovated practice is in the northern region of Tasmania. General Practitioners working in this facility are supported on-site by an experienced Practice Manager, along with a dedicated administrative and nursing team. There is a wide range of services offered such as chronic disease management, primary health care, preventative medicine, skin cancer medicine, iron infusions, and many more.
The Position
An exciting opportunity currently exists at this practice for an IMG to join the friendly team of highly experienced GP’s, on a full-time basis, to help meet the ever-growing patient demand. This is a well-established, modern practice offering a warm, friendly, family environment with personalised patient care. They offer a broad range of services, including, but not limited to general health care, men’s, women’s and children’s health, immunisations, skin cancer and minor procedures, chronic health care, pre-employment medicals, antenatal and postnatal care, and indigenous health.
The Organisation
Dr Reddy and Dr Sandhya come with an impressive track record of owning the Beaconsfield Family Medical Practice, which was awarded RACGP Best Practice of Tasmania 2024. They are now stepping into the role of guiding First Point Health Care with the same passion for excellence and community care that has driven their success. They are committed to expanding services in Launceston and are deeply honoured to serve this wonderful community, focusing on quality and affordable healthcare for all.
Accredited by AGPAL, First Point Healthcare is a privately owned general practice, and the team comprises six doctors, 3 nurses, a practice manager, an office manager and 3 receptionists.
The practice is open Monday to Friday – 8am to 5.30pm, Saturday and Sunday – 9am to 5.30pm, and after-hours calls are triaged through the GP Assist service.
Medical software used is Best Practice and operates as a bulk-billing practice.
Skills and Experience required:
* Current AHPRA registration or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Previous GP experience of at least one year, either in Australia or overseas.
What's on offer?
* The practice is offering guaranteed minimum earnings of $120,000 per annum based on working full-time.
* Relocation Support will be provided if moving interstate or towards initial accommodation for up to $5000.
* Visa sponsorship available.

* In conjunction with the practice, The People Project will organise a comprehensive orientation program on arrival.
