Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital offering tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation and surgery.

Position Summary

The Administration Officer will support workforce operations within the Roster Office, coordinating staff rosters, liaising with nursing agencies, unit managers and senior nursing staff, and ensuring efficient day‐to‐day roster administration across clinical departments.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate staff rosters and manage daily roster administration.
* Support workforce management processes and liaise with nursing agencies and clinical leaders.
* Maintain accurate roster records and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
* Collaborate with Nursing Agencies, Nurse Unit Managers, Director of Nursing & Midwifery, Operational Nurse Manager and casual nursing staff.

What you will bring to the role

* Demonstrated communication skills with courtesy, diplomacy and confidentiality.
* Ability to prioritise a demanding workload and problem‐solve efficiently.
* Experience with the Health Roster system or equivalent rostering in a large complex organisation.
* Strong time‐management and organisational skills.
* Computer literacy and accurate, concise documentation.
* Negotiation skills to achieve positive outcomes.
