About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver high-quality mechanical servicing and repairs on a broad range of vehicles while contributing to the leadership and mentorship within the team.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Potential involvement in RACQ Patrol and Tow Truck services, and Hydraulink hose fitting
2. Performing logbook servicing, brake, clutch, suspension, and exhaust repairs
3. Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and completing necessary repairs
4. Conducting windscreen chip repairs and air-conditioning servicing
5. Supervising and mentoring mature-age apprentices
About You
The successful candidate will have:
1. 4+ years post-trade experience and own trade tools
2. Current QLD HR Driver License (or willingness to obtain)
3. QLD RWC Examiner accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
4. Willingness to supervise and train apprentices, and teach welding
5. Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills across vehicle types
6. Trade Qualification – Diesel Mechanic (Light Vehicle and Commercial)
