Busy IT Category in Stable Public Sector Organisation
**Your new organisation**
This large, well-established organisation has several exciting projects underway and has a vacancy for an IT Category Manager to join their procurement team. Reporting to the Manager Procurement and Contracts, this is a permanent position and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional.
**Your new role**
Within this position, you will be developing procurement plans and leading strategic sourcing activities for all IT procurements in the organisation. Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Analysis of past spend to identify cost-saving strategies
- Identify and promote sustainable procurement practices
- Create and manage category management plans including spend and market analysis and sourcing strategies
- Act as lead contract manager for key stakeholders
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be successful, you will have demonstrated experience in category management, preferably with IT sourcing experience. You will also have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as a talent for forming and maintaining relationships and communication skills.
**What you'll get in return**
If successful, you will have a permanent position in a large organisation based North of the river. The salary banding for this position will be $111,000 - $125,000 + superannuation.
