Desktop Computing Support Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Computing Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing on-site and on-call assistance to end-users within our desktop computing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various activities, from simple tasks to complex plans, and ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Image desktop PCs to specific SOE requirements and install additional hardware components and peripherals
* Contribute to the creation of business desktop PC and mobile devices SOE software images via SCCM
* Test new hardware and roll out new IT assets, returning replaced equipment for decommissioning
* Deploy and maintain IP Phones, engaging external vendors as required
* Setup loan equipment (such as projectors) for client-related presentations
* Log, record, and manage all requests assigned via the IT Ticketing system, escalating tickets to external vendors as necessary
* Update and document all processes and policies for sharing with team members
* Collaborate actively with other IT team members by sharing knowledge and discussing problems
* Prepare mobile devices (iPhones, iPads, etc.), deploy them, and manage via MDM
* Adhere to the IT Professional Behaviour Protocol and contribute to an integral IT team improvement plan
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of PC hardware and related peripherals
* Knowledge of wired and wireless network technologies
* Skills in supporting all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
* Strong knowledge and experience in supporting Microsoft Office 2013/365 suite
* Formal qualifications or certifications in Information Technology and/or Computer Science
* Proven experience with remote networking technologies and desktop helpdesk support
