We provide Australian sovereign capability to the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Delivery Division (GWEODD) who look after the acquisition and sustainment of a broad range of Explosive Ordnance (EO) capabilities for the Australian Defence Force. GWEODD currently manages 38 acquisition projects and sustains over 1000 munition types (including 35 types of complex guided weapons). With the government announcements around increasing Sovereign Capability in Defence, we have opportunities for enthusiastic project managers to join our expanding team working to support GWEODD. About our Role: We have multiple permanent employment opportunities available for Project Managers to support our key GWEODD Projects. These roles cover a diverse package of work supporting Army, Navy and Airforce projects. You will bring your project management expertise and experience to coordinate the various elements required to ensure project success, progressing projects through the various stages of capability lifecycle from strategy and inception through to in-service support and disposal. What you will be involved in: Work alongside Commonwealth and Team Nova project team members, supporting the progress of EMB projects through the One Defence Capability System, including development of key documents supporting project clearance through Defence capability gate reviews. Liaise with Defence and non-Defence stakeholders. Facilitate, develop and administer delivery of acquisition and sustainment contracts with key Defence industry players. Coordinate Fundamental inputs to Capability. Manage risk and issues, facilitate workshops and maintain associated registers. Undertake regular project reporting and management of dashboards. Manage arrangements with overseas parties, such as non-Australian Defence and government bodies Input into project financial planning, including development of key document supporting the Commonwealth procurement process What we would like from you: Proven experience in end to end Project management Experienced in the delivery of multi-discipline complex projects Previous experience working within Defence, CASG and/or the Explosive Ordnance arena You will be self-motivated and driven with a demonstrated ability to work effectively both as part of a team and individually Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high attention to detail Excellent customer service, client management and relationship management skills Life at Nova: In addition to salary, you are supported with: Flexible ways of working and dress for your day.
