Operations Lead
Join a world‐leading insurance company as an Operations Lead, influencing how we protect clients and grow our business. The role is based in Melbourne or Sydney and partners closely with policy services administrators, underwriting associates, profit centres, and other stakeholders across Australia.
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, develop and support policy servicing and underwriting teams.
* Ensure service levels, KPIs, quality standards are met or exceeded.
* Serve as the end‐to‐end escalation point for all policy booking issues and queries.
* Facilitate frequent meetings with shared services, profit centres, and underwriters to discuss performance, process and system changes.
* Drive change initiatives that improve efficiencies and oversee training for new processes or systems.
* Maintain and deliver standardised documentation and training for procedures.
* Act as the key contact for compliance, legal and audit matters, remediating identified issues within required timeframes.
* Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce unallocated cash and improve cash and receivables performance.
* Support major change programs and business projects, providing activity and resourcing forecasts, status reporting and financial highlights.
* Serve as a senior stakeholder and subject‐matter expert on key projects.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in insurance or financial services operations.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent verbal and written communication with senior leaders and peers.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously, balancing multiple deadlines.
* Time‐management skills and flexibility to handle varied tasks.
* Outcome‐driven mindset with a strong commitment to operational excellence.
