Exciting Career Opportunities – Supervisors, Mechanical/Fixed Plant Fitters, Structural/Fabrication Boilermakers and Riggers.
Mobilise Group is gearing up for major projects, shutdowns, and ongoing maintenance works in Mount Isa and surrounding areas, and are seeking experienced Supervisors, Fitters and Boilermakers to join our growing team from early 2026.
Local Mount Isa applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with current mine site access or previous experience working in the Northwest Queensland region will be highly regarded. Immediate starts are available for applicants holding current Mount Isa mine site access and a valid Cardax card .
FIFO opportunities are also available for suitably experienced tradespeople based in Townsville, Cainsor Brisbane.
Roles & Experience Sought
* Supervisors – Trade qualified or non-trade with a strong heavy industry background and proven experience in construction, fabrication/installation, fabrication/supply and shutdown environments. A strong focus on job supervision and work direction is essential.
* Mechanical / Fixed Plant Fitters – Proven experience in fixed plant installation and maintenance, including material handling systems such as conveyors, crushers, screens and chutes.
* Boilermakers – Experience in fabrication and construction, with the ability to pass or hold current competency in positional stick and/or MIG welding.
* Riggers – Demonstrated experience in steel erection, plant rigging, and pick-and-carry or slew crane operations. Basic Rigger (minimum) required.

Key Requirements
* Mount Isa mine site access (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing
* Strong commitment to safety, compliance and OH&S practices
* Working at heights and confined space competencies (Mandatory)
* Driver's licence mandatory (manual preferred but not essential)
* Medium rigid and above licence (highly desirable)
* High-risk tickets such as Rigger/Dogger, EWP, Tele-handler, Overhead Crane and Forklift (highly desirable)
Successful applicants must meet all site access requirements, including pre-employment medicals, inductions, and mandatory training at all mines we currently service in the Mount Isa mineral province.
