We are seeking a talented individual to join our Workers Compensation team at Mercer Marsh Benefits. This role will be based in our Perth office. It is a hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office and is offered on a 12-month maternity contract.
Role Overview: Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) is a leading employee benefit business formed from the unification of a top HR consultancy, a global people risk advisory, and a disruptive benefits tech firm. We focus on building human relationships and providing brokerage, consulting, and claims advocacy services, leveraging data, technology, and analytics to help reduce clients' total people risk costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Negotiate and place underwritten workers compensation policies for clients.
2. Provide expert advice on managed fund policies and support employers as needed.
3. Present confidently to clients, articulating recommendations and strategies effectively.
4. Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring timely and efficient service.
5. Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
* Proven experience in workers compensation placement and brokerage.
* Strong time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
* Excellent critical thinking and negotiation skills.
* A client-focused approach with the ability to build rapport and trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience presenting complex information persuasively.
* Background in risk management or insurance is advantageous.
* Additional qualifications in allied health or insurance are beneficial.
