Principal Advisors have a direct reporting line to an Inspector, Communications, Culture and Engagement Division of the QPS.
As a leader in the new People Capability Hub, you will be managing a team of members supporting SES volunteers across the state in the following work areas:

2. Professional and ethical behaviour
3. IR/ER/HR systems and policy compliance
4. Communications strategies
5. Employee support and wellbeing
6. Performance management and conduct
The core capability requirements for this role are:
7. Provide high level advice and support to portfolio leaders and senior managers in building inclusive workplaces and practices and actioning other culture and engagement strategies and actions
8. Provide advice and assist in the development of organisational frameworks, policies and procedures for a workforce that models professional and ethical behaviour
9. Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration, support improvement in systems and processes and enable the safe and sustainable delivery of services
10. Undertake projects on key emergent issues and initiatives impacting SES/MRQ, including providing support in the implementation of whole of government human resource and industrial relations policy and initiatives
11. Effectively manage the development of staff and provide guidance through competent team leadership and demonstrated personal commitment to constructive learning and performance dialogues
12. Effectively initiate, develop and manage all aspects of communications across a range of media including electronic and social media, print, and face to face communications
