We're looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitter/Machinist – Afternoon shift to join our Tyrecycle Redbank Plains Team on a full‐time basis.
Must be flexible to work some overtime and weekends when needed.
Afternoon Shift starts at 3pm.
This hands‐on role is key to ensuring the continued reliability, performance, and safety of our plant and equipment. You'll play a crucial part in driving operational excellence through best practices in safety, environmental compliance, product quality, housekeeping, and equipment utilisation.
Key responsibilities
* Promote and model safe working behaviours in alignment with Tyrecycle's OHS standards.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs and statutory obligations.
* Proactively contribute to a high‐performing team environment focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
About you
* Solid understanding of safe work practices and manual handling procedures.
* Experience and a qualified Maintenance Fitter/Machinist – Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter & Turner / Mechanical Fitter).
* A collaborative team player who's hands‐on, dependable, and solutions‐focused.
* Strong problem‐solving abilities with a practical mindset.
* Strong safety‐minded focus.
* Electrical disconnect/reconnect licence (highly regarded but not essential).
