Senior Clinician MHAOD Integration – Barwon Health

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership within MHDAS to support the implementation of integrated treatment, care and support (ITCS) for people with co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use or addiction
- Provide primary AOD treatment for AMHWS consumers where clinical scope of expertise matches consumer treatment needs
- Provide primary and secondary AOD consultation and linkages for AMHWS consumers
- Contribute to service quality improvement in MHDAS including AOD capability building for the MHDAS workforce
- Provide discipline specific professional supervision and supervision of students within Barwon Health if required

MHDAS provides integrated and recovery-oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region. Our service is recognized for innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are client-centred, accessible and family-inclusive. We are building co-design with people who access our services and the wider community to redesign our service system.

Major sites include University Hospital Geelong, the McKellar Centre precinct, Barwon Health North, and residential aged care facilities across the region, with programs across the Barwon South West Region including Torquay and Colac.
