The Opportunity
The Digital Lead Consultant will drive strategic and delivery-focused digital transformation initiatives across complex industrial environments.
This role requires a seasoned professional with deep domain expertise, technical acumen, and the ability to engage stakeholders from executive leadership to frontline operators.
What you'll do
Lead the development and execution of customer digital transformation strategies aligned with business objectives.
Program-manage the delivery of digital programmes, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and leveraging agile methodologies and best practices.
Manage cross-functional digital teams working on customer programmes, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Provide subject-matter expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), data analytics, data governance, and technical solutions across IoT, OT, IT and cloud.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from CEOs and CTOs to plant operators, to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and internal stakeholders.
Apply strategic thinking to identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency.
Produce high-quality documentation and communications to support programme delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Ideal candidate
Tertiary qualification Software, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering digital programmes in industrial sectors.
Extensive industry experience in one or more of the following: mining, mineral & metal, water & wastewater, transportation (ports/airports), manufacturing, food & beverage.
Subject-matter expertise in at least two of the following: MES; data analysis, data engineering and analytics; AI, ML and LLMs; solution architecture focusing on OT/IT environments; IoT technologies for OT applications.
Proven track record managing agile programmes and applying agile methodologies.
Advanced communication and writing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence across stakeholder groups.
Experience in process control and advanced process control technologies.
Strategic mindset with ability to translate vision into actionable plans and excellent presentation and communication skills.
Commercial and financial acumen and ability to translate complex customer needs into smart, scalable solutions.
